 Here are the official rules for closing the HG500

1.     The gripper must be closed with one hand only, although you can use your other hand to "set" the gripper a little to get slightly better hand position. Any other assistance with the other hand disqualifies the close.

2.     Chalk may be used as the knurl is not very sharp.

3.     To qualify, the gripper must be closed from an open position, not assisted into a closed position and held there.

4.     The gripper must be held for a normal count of two. So it will be (totally closed]) ONE! TWO! (open).

HG500 INFORMATION

·       25mm(approx. 1") diameter handles 

·       Electropheretic gold coated spring

·       Huge 9mm diameter spring (custom wound)

·      This massive gripper weighs 2lbs 3 ounces.

·      Solid steel handles with mid-grip knurl and layered with chrome.

·      Only 300 of these limited edition grips where produced.

·      Although the gripper model is a HG500, it is actually not rated at 500lbs as the strength is approximate and the actual level of closing depends on the area being closed on the longer than normal handles.  It has 4 1/4" long handles which provide good leverage.

·      One HG500 weighs more than a full set of 6 Heavy Grips™! 

·     WARNING -The springs on these grippers are huge and could cause serious injury if they break. ·      Never hold a Heavy Grip near your face and we do not advise closing these grippers with two hands (Chest Crushing) in case of spring breakage close to your body. These grippers are only to be used with one hand away from your body and face.
